A small chamber in Prague's Jewish quarter, its single narrow window barred against both theft and pogroms. Wooden shelves line every wall, crammed with ledger books whose spines bear generations of borrowers' names. The air smells of old paper and fear.

A drafty cellar beneath a butcher's shop, lit only by candles and the mirror's impossible glow. Glass vessels line stone walls, each containing a different colored smoke that twists into human shapes when no one watches directly.
Rivka discovers Jakub's mirror traps souls, must overcome her fear-driven caution to act, and ultimately shatters the glass with Thomas's help, choosing moral responsibility over survival.
Rivka discovers Jakub's mirror traps souls, faces Thomas's Inquisition investigation, and ultimately destroys the mirror with his help, choosing courage over survival.
Rivka visits Jakub's workshop to collect a debt and witnesses the mirror consume his new assistant's soul, discovering the cursed object's true nature.

Brother Thomas comes to Rivka's lending room investigating witchcraft rumors, forcing her to choose between hiding the mirror and preventing more deaths.

Together in the workshop, Rivka and Thomas shatter the mirror, freeing the trapped souls as Inquisition guards arrive.
